Occupational Therapy

Building Everyday Skills That Matter Most

Our paediatric occupational therapists support children of all abilities to develop independence, confidence and participation in everyday activities. We work with children with developmental delays, neurological and genetic conditions, autism, sensory differences and complex needs.

Occupational therapy focuses on the skills children need to engage in daily life, from play and self care to learning, emotional regulation and school participation. Our approach is family centred and focused on goals that are meaningful to both the child and their caregivers.

What we help with

We support fine motor development, handwriting, self care skills, sensory processing differences, emotional regulation, play skills, attention and school readiness. Our therapists also work with children with complex disabilities, supporting adaptive strategies, routines and functional independence across environments.

What sessions look like

OT sessions are hands on, play based and child led. Therapy may include movement activities, sensory play, skill practice, problem solving and caregiver education. Sessions are tailored to your child’s interests, strengths and daily routines to support carryover at home and school.
